I downloaded J. I've been running with 2B since I installed it. It seems
solid! However, I'm getting a max of 9KB/sec over FTP. I have a friend with
a Cisco router that gets 14KB. I don't know whether to blame it on my serial
card or the Linux kernel (2.0.20 and 1.2.13 were both slow). Does the Linux
kernel support any serial boards that do 230Kb ?
Add to that I think I slightly fractured my motherboard and my middle mouse
button no longer works. Urgh. (jumpers and ICs make some slots unusable with
some boards on my ASUS). Good thing it's just the communications server and
not my main game machine.
