Well.. We have about 100+ uucp accounts here on our freebsd box.
We just have them come in through rlogin and have an entry in the passwd
file that loads uucico for them. We do this mainly because it's the
system we used pre-portmaster. I was told there was a nifty util called
ruccpd or something on livingstons site that allowed people to do it
without a passwd entry.
If by port you mean the port in the uucp sys file you don't need
one. Thats only for outbound. An inbound only entry in sys can be as
simple as:
system bleh
called-login Ubleh
time Never
