Well, actually my origional question should have been more specific. I have
seen the speculation on this list about the stac card for the PM3 .. but
my specific interest is in what will happen in the the ISDN office routers
(OR-U, OR-ST). Will a firmware upgrade in the furture add in the

Having STAC compression at the POP is useless if the remote nodes using
OR-U's can't take advantage of it.

If Livingston is not going to support compression in the OR line, but is
in the PM3, what market are you trying support?

We are in a position to buy several OR-U equivalents and the ability to
support compression sometime in the future is a deciding factor.
