Hmmm, dunno if I've ever tried this with _simple_ filters, but I'm
doing it right now with largish complex filters ... will that do?

My border router is a 2514 shuffling traffic among 2 T1s and 2 Enets,
with every packet filtered twice, once coming in and once going
out. (I use filter stats to track where bogon packets come from.)
I don't think the box is exactly hurting:

bs2#sh proc
CPU utilization for five seconds: 12%/5%; one minute: 16%; five minutes: 17%
...
