This is a sportster, on it's side, in a cool room (55-70 degrees
fahrenheit year round) Like another list person said, switches 3 and 8
are down. The customer has a linux PC with an internal PPI modem.
The sportsters work great for us. We throw a l0m0s10=100 into the modem
string too. (keeps it quieter, cooler, and more tolerant of line noise,
in that order) They really work quite well for us. You might have a
telephone line level problem if these conditions are met and the
sportsters wont hold a connection. (nothing would)
