That's my dialup...Sportster 33.6 to Sportster 33.6. I often stay online
for a week or two at a time. Oddly, my line there never locks up. I
suspect the sportster lockups have something to do with failed
connection attempts. We also have the speakers off and keep the room
around 75f. In FL, it would be difficult to maintain 55f in the machine
room.
