Once upon a time Mark Frost shaped the electrons to say...
>Hello. I'm using ComOS 3.3.3 and before I went off and considered subnetting,
>I was curious if a pm2e running 3.3.3 will allow subnet addrs using all 0's
>or all 1's. That is, if I use a subnet mask of 255.255.255.192 (a /26 block
>I believe) can I use all 4 chunks of 64 addresses (62 usable) or can I only
>use 2 of those chunks?

We use ALL segments - no restrictions.

>One of our other pieces of network equipment currently does not support use of
>all 4 networks in this case and I wanted to see if this will also be an issue
>on the pm.

Well, that piece of equipment won't be able to see any IPs on the subnet(s)
it doesn't support. So plan for that.

Note - Cisco's default to not supporting it, but they can - 'ip subnet-zero'
