Well anyway, the problem is last week it totally crashed and it had to be
manually rebooted.
Tonight it is sitting there rebooting itself every 15 or so minutes
knocking a good 25 people off each time and pissing them (and me) off
a lot. After it happended a few times and not being able to find anything
bad in the release notes for 3.3.1 I decided to try 3.3.3 - part way
through the flash download pminstall crashes with some invalid op error
message. Great. it's half upgraded. Try it again. SAme thing. Try it
on another portmaster. Same thing. ( so i have two portmasters now half
upgrdaed acting dinky and I have no way to get to any of them until
tommorow - thankfully I tried the upgrade on low usage portmasters and not
the main one that is having the problems.) Great, let's try 3.1.4 - can't
get those half upgraded ones to upgrade.. and I really would rather not
try to upgrade my main one in fear it'll screw up too. I'm using
pmconsole 3.3.1 on a Linux box right now.
What should I do? I usually don't follow problem reports and release
notes very well because I rarely have problems until now :(
