Hi Brian,

It looks like the LCP and PAP stuff went normally.

Then, the PM says I'd like to configure some IP stuff.

>Sending IPCP_CONFIGURE_REQUEST to port S6 of 16 bytes containing:
>01 01 00 10 02 06 00 2d 0f 00 03 06 cf 0d 6e fe=20
Sent to port S6: 18 bytes IPCP Request-1=20
IP Comp Proto =3D Van Jacobson 15 0
IP Address =3D 207.13.110.254=20

This is what I see from my ISP as well; I guess it's normal.

The next one is troubling.

>Received LCP_PROTOCOL_REJECT on port S6 of 18 bytes containing:
>08 05 00 16 80 21 01 01 00 10 02 06 00 2d 0f 00=20
>03 06 cf 0d 6e fe
=46ixed #bytes to match #found...
Recvd from port S6: 24 bytes LCP Protocol-Reject-5 IPCP 80 21 01 01 =
00 10 =20

This seems to say the the client (Win95) is not interested in doing
IP over this PPP link at all.

Is it possible that this user did more to their system than they told =
you?
I would guess that the TCP/IP protocol is no longer bound to=20
the dialup adapter. You might have them check under NetHood/Properties.
Not sure how installing a modem would do this unless it came with
some bozo dialup software that messed up the existing Win95 stuff.

Hope this helps,
Bill
