The PM does 'see' the traffic, and yes it does not reset the idle timer,
see below.

Could you do ONE thing for me???? If you still have the sniifer on the
netowrk, could you capture the DirecPC packet headers? I'd be REAL
interested in what sniifer you are using and what the report looks like.
No, I'm not gonna tell you what I'm looking for, it ought to jump out and
byte you when you see it.

The PM DOES reset the idle time on ALL traffic through the interface.
The DirecPC traffic, for reasons not yet understood, send strange sized
packets (too many more hints and I'll have told you, sigh).

Per user idle-time out is in 3.3.1, I believe. Check the release notes.

You are the third or fourth person to comment about this problem. I'm
working with the other customers and Hughes DirecPC systems. If you want
you can get a case opened to make note of the problem.

Also, have you called and talked to Hughes DirecPC support?
