I have modem control on on that port. I am also using RTS/CTS if
that is important.

The CD light on the modem goes off when the the modem loses the
connection. Is it possible that the CD being seen by the router is
still valid?? All the info on this modem (hayes accura 288) is
available at www.hayes.com (not that I expect you to spend your time
trying to figure out my question) :-)

If any hayes experts want to jump in on this one, please do.
