Let me quote from the recent Data Communications article regarding the MAX:
"Ascend's showing was disappointing. The vendor's flagship MAX 4000 was the
only product ot take a throughput hit handling mnore than 16 concurrent
clients over T1 and PRI. The RAS needed far longer to connect remote async
clients through its PRI port than other products. And the version we tested
had a bug that wouldn't allow us to disable malfunctioning modems (Ascend
says it's working on a fix)."

Day to day on the beta at this point. No predictions--things are getting
worked out, and you have to work 'em until they all be fixed, know what I mean?
