SNMP brainlessness

Why oh why has Livingston elected to make interfaces.ifNumber.0 (SNMP object)
only contain the number of active SLIP/PPP/ethernet interfaces , but NOT
active terminal connections (telnet/rlogin) ? This is SO braindead....

And: how about usernames associated with interfaces and CONSTANT interface
traffic numbers, instead of objects for traffic just being available when
an interface (SLIP/PPP) is used, and disappearing otherwise ?

SNMP: my biggest disappointment with Livingston in the last 4 years...

bye,Kai
ps: convince me that my snmpwalk utility is buggy, and I will repent...
