RADIUS 1.16 looks up the PortMaster's hostname in order to authenticate it
from the /etc/raddb/clients file. No name lookup, no RADIUS authentication.
Our RADIUS server 2.0 caches the client IP addresses so that it only
has to look them up when the clients file changes, which should make this
less of a problem. (It does mean that with RADIUS 2.0 that if you change
a PortMaster's IP address in DNS you should touch your /etc/raddb/clients
file to let RADIUS know it needs to refresh the cache.)
RADIUS 2.0 is available in binary form starting today; see
http://www.livingston.com/ and click What's New for all the details.
