I've never heard of such a device but I would suggest some web browsing at
the following csu/dsu vendors (if there is such an animal it should be
there): digital link, adtran, larscom, tylink, kentrox and I found an
equipment resource catalog site that mentioned an async/sync dsu/csu at
http://www.uvision.com/.
