Couple of points.

- NVRAM is good for 10 to 20 THOUSAND writes.
Even at 1 thousand writes, and a reset every day of the year
the NVRAM is good for 2.7 YEARS! Reset the modem once a week and
the NVRAM is good for 19.2 YEARS!

- PMs on initialize the modem on startup and admin reset of the port.
Please note that the PM does not reset the modem after each call!
