Assuming you have 30 Port boxes, add a netmask entry for another class C
in all of your Portmonsters(sic) like:

add netmask xxx.yyy.zzz.0 255.255.255.224

Then in box 1 do a set assigned xxx.yyy.zzz.1, in box 2 do a
set assigned xxx.yyy.zzz.33, and so forth.

No need for gateway boxes.

When Livingston releases *cough* OSPF *COUGH* *COUGH* for the majority of
their customers, we can (hopefully) do away with this netmask table hack.
