So sez you. I'm voting for 'vi'.

Lets not forget that the popular shell ksh supports vi OR emacs.

I suspect if we do the work to implment ONE style of command editing,
we'll probably have the meachanism to implement ANY.

As much as I would like to see command line editing I don't think we're
likely to see it soon or at all.
