I don't agree. My Xyplex Term server have rj-45 connectors instead of DB25.
So do my USR Total Control racks. I use cat 5 to connect the Xyplexen and
USRs. It is a bitch to pin but it works great. I even to cat 5 rj45 to db25
from a Xyplex to Hayes rack. No problems there. I would actually prefer the
PM2e to use rj45 instead of the bulky db25.

Ah, I don't think you want to do that. Cat 5 is twisted pair and normal
DB-25 cables are untwisted. Modem signals don't work well over twisted
pair, I had one site that had that cat 5 stuff and was having TONS of
problems, went to flat satin (read unwtwisted) and problems vanished.

Just a warning, you may actually get it to work.
