Turnando is correct. We've decided that in many cases, it's easier to remote
PRIs back to a single central location. We don't have to dispatch technicians
to a remote site, and all of the equipment is under a single roof. The
problem that prompted Ed's request is that the two remote COs have different
switches (DMS-100 vs AT&T 5E). We've managed to find an ISDN switch setting
that seems to work as a compromise, but we're not sure of the consequences
of doing so.
I agree with Megazone, that when dealing with BRI as in the PM2e 5 BRI modules,
there is probably no need to have to deal with different switch types, since
BRI is almost always served out of the local CO.
PRI, however is a different story. As we expand our usage of PRI, this will
certainly become an issue for us.
