USR is unfortunately right. There can be only one analog to digital
conversion in the entire line from the customer to the ISP. You have to
assume that conversion is going to be at the customer's end. If that
is not the case you may get away with it. PM-3's won't have this problem
as they are all digital. But Livingston is going with the Lucent flavor
of 56Kbps. We are waiting until there is an ITU standard on this.
