Not quite right. USR uses digital technology (DSP-based) only in the Total
Control . The terms "analog" and "digital" are misleading. Both
cards use exact the same technology, the DSP can be accessed by the
TDM bus and therefore by the PRI directly.
The only difference is that the "analog" card also has a line
interface card which allows to use a RS232 as DTE interface and, if
not using the PRI, analog line interface.
It's just a setup item to make the "analog" modem use the TDM bus as
line interface and therefore be "true digital" ;-).
