I cannot seem to get a max mtu to 'take' on my PM2E.
I have a Win95 user who is experiencing disconnects and we are in the
process of trying to track down the problem. I am running out of options.
I figure I'll play with the MTU. I set a test port but as soon as I connect
with a Win95 client, it shows up as connected with mtu equal to 1500. Here
is what I am doing....
Command> set s9 mtu 512
MTU for port S9 changed from 1500 to 512
Command> save all
Saving global configuration
Saving ports
User table successfully saved
Hosts table successfully saved
Static route table successfully saved
Location table successfully saved
SNMP table successfully saved
Filter table successfully saved
New configurations successfully saved.
Command> reset s9
Resetting port S9
Then upon connection, 1500????? What gives.
BTW, anyone know how to limit the mtu from the Win95 client side?
