The capabilities I really like in the ESVA patches are the ability to
limit the number of simultaneous logins and the redefinition of the
DEFAULT user.
The N2H2 and ESVA patches for RADIUS 2.0 are available at
http://www.n2h2.com/RADIUS/. Note that they work fine for me and have for
many, many months, but I don't use many of the new fancy RADIUS 2.0
capabilities, so haven't fully tested the patches.
I am also using it on a very small user base (less than 250 logins per
day) on a reasonably powerful server (Sparc 20), so can't comment on how
the single-process requirement of the simultaneous-login limits in ESVA
affects performance.
