I envy you guys! The rates you are posting below for BRI look like our
local ANALOG line prices. Our BRI lines will run between $90-$126 each.
PRI has been quoted at over $2000. (Thanks Rebecca on the other quotes you
have given us, may be 1st of the year before we implement.) In any case 12
BRI is STILL significantly less that PRI.

This makes perfect sense to me, since the phone company will have to
provide the individual lines for BRI, instead of using the two pairs for
PRI. :o

If Livingston can produce a 5 BRI module for the Portmasters and add the
digital modems we can all honor the phone company's wish to waste more
time, money, and copper.

However, I still do not understand how Ameritech can provide these rates
and Bell South can not.... I have been told that Bell South has to buy
thingamajigs and whatchamacallits to allow for ISDN. Correct me if I am
wrong, but isn't that true for all providers??

Oh well, If anyone at Ameritech is interested in moving into the area, we
would welcome some "competitive" rates.
