Well the only CUSTOMERs youd need to be radius authed are the ISDN
customers. What sort of auth does Ascend have? Can it look at a file on a
remote system SIMILAR to radius? Maybe we can make a conversion file to
convert the radius.db to the ascend db file if there is such a thing.

YAH YAH. I like that IDEA. Id just add BRI's as I saw fit.

We have a 500 pair cable to the building 1 mile from the CO and about 200
pairs are empty!

Yah I know. BRI's are dirt cheap and I think in my opinion, its the way to
go for redundancy, etc... at least for me. Cuz I cant afford redundant
PRIs!

Thanx, and BTW, can I have a shell or PPP acct at NOL to test out for a
while?

No i dunno. I HOPE/WISH they do! I dont hear much from Ascend anymore.

Here is ANOTHER great IDEA! Livingston! Make the equivalent of a MAX 1800
box! Make your PM3 able to handle multiple BRI's or a special version of
such! I may purchase a Max 1800 since it can take 8 bri's AND it can
have 8 or 12 modem cards added to it as I need them. The big bad problem
with that is the 8/12 modem cards that ascend sells. THey are 336 but they
are NOT upgradeable and they get hot. The price on a Max 1800 is VERY good
compared to the PM 3 taking in a PRI.
