It should be easy enough to hack in a way to tell the PM what the
escape sequence for 'history-up' and 'history-down' is. It could
work something like this:

mypm>history set # I type this

Press the key you want to use as 'history-up': # The PM responds with this

^whatever # I press the up arrow

Now press the key you want to use as 'history-down': # The PM again

^whatever # I press the down arrow

mypm> # The prompt comes back and the up/down arrows do history.
