ascend and pm3. will dual channels work?

I seem to be having a lot of difficulty getting my ascend to use the 2nd
b channel to dialup. I have a pm3 and am using an ascend pipeline 130.
Tried both radiusd's (1.16 and 2.0), put in the Port-Limit=2 stuff, etc..
but nothing seems to accept that send b channel.

Is there something on the pm3 I need to configure? If so, what?
Is there something on the pm3 I can do to get it above 56k (64k perhaps)?
Is there something on the users file I need to do on my radius2.0 server?

Any help appreciated.
