I just installed our 3rd PM3 today and it is working fine, but I've
noticed some wierdness about it compared to our other 2.
Background: Currently has 1 CT1 and is running ComOS 3.5.1b8. OSPF is
enabled on it and all of our NAS's (pm3's and maxen).
Wierdness: Users are able to use the system (nothing wierd there at all,
love them pm3's!), but when I try a traceroute to one of them, it bounces
between the pm3 and our cisco forever. Pings also never reach the user.
What's really neat is that if I assign a user a static IP address on that
same class c, I can ping/traceroute/whatever. I've gone through the
settings on the other 2 boxes and from what I can tell, they're nearly
identical.
Everyonce in a while, a dynamic IP will start to work like it's supposed
to and a traceroute will end at the correct destination.
Any ideas what might be happening? It doesn't seem to be critical since
the other machine on my desk is dialed into it and I don't notice anything
wrong, but I can't ping/traceroute to my IP...
