Yes, but you would have no intention of using the network address in this
situation. I'm talking about actually being able to use the subnet
address to refer to the entire subnet as a whole, which cannot be done
with the current best-fit setup because for example in the case you
cite above, are you referring to the host at .8 or the .8 subnet?
