PM2ERs

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on speeding up a PM2ER... It
really lags and most times after a day or two I have to reboot the unit
to get it back up to speed again... Does anyone have any tips on how to
tweak (if you will) the PM... I have noticed a lot of activity even when
idle.... I am comparing all my observations with my ciscos... TIA
