PM2ER Question(s)

Hello,

We use a PM2ER-30 as our primary Internet Router, and also obviously as a
terminal server. We have three Portmasters currently serving about 80-90 active
connections, and have plans to add another one or two before we make a
decision about PM3's, etc.

Based on some of the mailing list traffic, it would seem that the PM2ER-30
won't be able to keep up with the load. If that's so, I'd like to get an IRX or
another one of your dedicated routers NOW and get it configured, etc., before
I need to.

Do you have any feedback to offer?

Thanks,
Tom

Bingo! Get a dedicated router. The PM2eR can't route for more than 3.

To clarify Patrick's comment...

Yes, Livingston has always said that the PM2eR's wan port wasn't meant to
handle more than about 90 modems worth of bandwidth due to its design.
The IRX doesn't have this limitation though.
