A yellow alarm (if I remember correctly...just cracked open my =
first Pepsi, so I'm still groggy), is a framed all 1's signal. =
Meaning, there is an intelligent device (multiplexer, DACS, =
switch, HDSL card, etc) that has lost the T-1 signal to it and =
sends a yellow alarm in the opposite direction to let the other =
intelligent devices know there is trouble.
