That's nice - if you haven't noticed this isn't gated, and it isn't
as ugly as gated either. I'd rather not mess with the configuration,
the PM does it automatically. And the code in gated gives me the
shivers. I am glad the PMs don't do everything gated does, and that
includes not having all of the features as well as not having all of
the headaches.
If you want a cleaner export - don't use the .0 subnet for a pool,
set the pools on an even break, and set the pool size to 32. And you
get one route. You can play with your starting pool IP and pool size
and that will adjust how many routes are used for a given pool.
The more things you have to set, the more things there are to mess up.
The current system is very simple, and most people don't care that they
might have a few more routes - they don't have to mess with all the
different configuration variables. And if you want to play with them,
then you can change how your pools fall.
There isn't a lot of sense in debating this - it has been debated at
length and the current system is how it will be for the foreseeable
future. There are far, far more people who love it than who want to
change it.
