network "hardwired" ppp authentication? (fwd)

There is no way to completely get rid of the prompts to my knowledge.

That is NOT to be used for dialin accounts - it won't work, as you have
found. Network Hardwired is for exactly that *hardwired* connections -
leased lines. It will not function with dial users.
