On the contrary, each modem in the PM3 is nothing more than a small DSP
chip and two chips below it (bottom side of the circuit board).

The AS5200 also has two sync. serial ports that go up to T1/E1 speeds.
This is just like a Cisco 2501 which uses a 68030 processor and people
still say that when pushing both of those ports to top speed the entire
router slows down. Imagine the same scenario, but with 48 or 60 modems
too - with no processor increase!

Also, I thought I was buying an integrated terminal server; not a stupid
router too!? I'll keep them seperate, thankyouverymuch. Livingston is
the only smart one that doesn't stick the routers into the base unit:).
