Motorola 56K modems

One of our customers has just purchased a Motorola 56K modem and cannot
connect to our Portmaster 3. I read about entering an init string for Hayes
modems of at+ms=11,0,300,33600 and was wondering if this will work for the
Motorola ones?
Are these modems likely to work correctly when we have the PM3 56K upgrades?
