There are a couple of products that do this. And with NT or 95 you can
use MP to link two or more modems. You just need a comm server that does
POTS MP at the other end. We are developing that for the PM-3's analog modems
and it will be out in a coming release.

No special HW needed at either end. And you can have more than 2 lines if
you really want.
