I have a script at
<http://www.lidcam.com.au/users/matthew/html/callcount.html> which counts
the number of calls a modem has received and how many good connects it has
made. I have found here that all PM3's with good modems (and no problems
like the pizza shop example above) will have connect rates very tightly
clustered around 95%. Any modem well below this after a large amount of
calls (>500) I would be suspect of. As you have found from looking at
syslog and Radius termination causes calls that do not connect to a modem
result in a Lost Carrier.
