I can't use 3.8.2 here. My customers start screaming about horrible
connections when I upgrade from 3.8 to 3.8.2. I had to downgrade to 3.8
after a few days.
Unless 3.8.3 (or 3.9, whichever comes first) fixes these issues with
3.8.2, I'm not going to be able to order new hardware or replace failed
hardware. This is a major problem for me. Likewise if I need to replace
hardware or buy new hardware before the next software release, this will
be a major problem.
I realize you must have had some good reason to switch to this new
chipset... but couldn't you have waited until 3.8.2 was useable for
everyone, and not just 80% of your customers?
I'm now in a precarious situation, with my business dangling by a thread
over the edge of a cliff. If I have a major hardware failure or large
growth spurt, I'm out of business. Please tell me you thought this
through and have some sort of contigency plans for us customers that CAN'T
use 3.8.2. I've bet the future of my business on Lucent's products... I
can't afford to switch to another vendor this late in the game.
