For instance, if you telnet to the PortMaster and sit at the login
prompt, it will appear in "sh netconn".
Either way, it's not something I would expect a user to be doing unless
they had some shady intention in mind. I've found just looking up what
user it is and giving them a phone call asking for an explanation
sufficiently intimidates them into not being nosy anymore. =)

Subject: (PM) sh netconn explanation please
Hi
I did the sh netconn command today and saw this output:
pm3> sh netconn
Hnd Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign
Address (state)
736 0 0 pm3.domain.23 0.0.0.0.0
LISTEN
550 0 2 pm3.domain.23
station1.domain.2729
ESTABLISHED
351 0 1 pm3.domain.23
modem40.other.1062
ESTABLISHED
We can see that there is 2 sessions established
the first one is mine (station1.domain.com)
What can be the other ??
I cannot imagine somebody could have guest the password
and telnet into
it
What else could it be
I can reset the connections and it goes away
this is not the first time I see this
thanks
Patrick
