Wrong, but almost right. At least one router in an area must also be in area
0.

Wrong, you can have many subnets all in the same area.
If you have Network A <-Router1-> Network B <-Router2-> Network C
<-Router3->
You tell Router1 about Network A and Network B only
You tell Router2 about Network B and Network C only
You tell Router3 about Network C only.
The OSPF protocol will learn about the whole network, A, B and C.
