Considering the fact the the V.90/PCM technology is severely flawed from
concept to deployment, I'm thinking about leaving the modem hassles to the
other suckers and doing ISDN only.

In the three years I did analog dialup (USR Couriers) I can only remember
one instance of someone not being able to connect due to a modem
compatibility problem or drops. After downgrading to V.90, the phone never
stops ringing complaints.

Do this simple test. Call your PM3 and then pick up the handset and whistle
into the phone. It will instantly drop the call. Now, find someone running
decent analog modems and try the same thing. I did it with my few remaining
Couriers and it took about 45 secs of load screaming into the handset to get
it to drop.

Digital RAS devices are technological waste material.
