ugh forgot network settings...

control panel | network | tcp/ip
ip address is normally fine
wins configuration change to disable wins resolution
gateway should be completely blank
dns configuration disable dns

This is for dialin users ONLY and version of DUN! If they are on a
network also, then you MUST upgrade to DUN 1.2b or 1.3.. the reason is
that in the broken versions of DUN it would mixup the tcp/ip settings
between the network card and Dialup adapter.
