Once upon a time Bob Love shaped the electrons to say...
>On the Portmaster however, the only thing it's handing the user is the IP
>address everything else has to be configured at the client end (DNS etc). I
>don't relish the thought of having to talk several thousand users through
>changing their settings, how can I make the Portmaster or Radius hand the
>client a gateway and DNS entries?

You should be using ComOS 3.7.2.

Configure the DNS servers IPs in the PM itself - if you do this it will
give those to any dial in client that asks for DNS servers.

As for a gateway, Windows DUN uses the other end of the link - ie the PM -
as the gateway, One is not 'handed out'.

>The Portmaster has an IP pool of 30 addresses. I log in and it gives me the
>first address from the pool. I log off. I log in again and get the 2nd
>address from the pool - why? The first address should be available?

Because it uses least used first. You will rotate through all 30 before
getting that first IP again.
