Ah.. it wasn't clear in your original post..

So win95x box updated to DUN1.3 and ws2 is connected to company LAN which
is on a NT domain.

You want the win95 to call to your PM to grab e-mail
modem connects BUT doesn't authenticate.

these conditions are true?

Things to check:

1) watch when it logs in does it get through PPP a sh ses (multiple times)
should show first PPP then the username they are sending. Verify that
this is going through. (proper case, no spaces, no extra junk)

If you get garbage characters then you need to delete the connectoid and
recreate. Also verify that it's using PPP, and my normal rundown of
things to disable. http://www.iav.com/~livingston/faq/win95.html

2) try hyperterminal does that call in and get to the login prompt? If it
does then DUN and/or TCP/IP is the problem.
