:I need to hook up about 10 USR 33.6 Sportster PnP Faxmodems to our PM2-E-30.
:Problem is; I can get the modem to answer the phone, but it will not give me
:the PM login. It just sits there.
Did you set an init string? When you reset the port, and then a show s? does
it show the modem as "Configured" ?
:So... what init string should I use for the USRs? I want to enter this into
:the PM with the "add modem..." command. Also how should the dip switches be
at&d3&c1s0=1 is the minimum string to get it working.
:set? Can I leave them at the default setting?
dip 1 up=console mode always, dip 2 up=netbopot mode, leave down, dip 3 ,
leave down, dip 4 and 5 up equals twisted pair, 4 and 5 down equals bnc,
alternating equals aui.
:Finally, while fiddlin' with this I added a usr-v34 setting to the PM with
:the Add modem command. However, the next day it wasn't there. A show table
:modem produced an empty table. The unit was not powered down.
Did you type save all?
