If you have ComOS 3.8 or later (3.8.2 is current) and Lucent modem cards
then you have V.90, and it is on. There is currently no way to turn it
off.

And since you see 49666 you know it is on. K56flex doesn't have that speed:

K56flex:
64000, 62000, 60000, 58000, 56000, 54000, 52000, 50000, 48000, 46000, 44000,
42000, 40000, 38000, 36000, 34000, 32000, etc

V.90
64000, 62666, 61333, 60000, 58666, 57333, 56000, 54666, 53333, 52000, 50666,
49333, 48000, 46666, 45333, 44000, 42666, 41333, 40000, 38666, 37333, 36000,
34666, 33333, 32000, etc

Note that speeds higher than 56K would requite a 64K clear channel line.
Speeds higher than 56K have been reported overseas - but I'm not sure that
was on Lucent gear or others.
