ComOS 3.9 for PM3, Cisco required 12.xxT
ComOS 4.1 for PM4
You could request to be on the Beta program if you need to try it soon.
I would just wait a bit, as it will be out soon.

I am not sure about the full details yet, but it is basically a Board you
plug into the PM4 slots which has lots of Risc CPUs on it.

Well, I have not personnally seen it, but I assume it works.
I have seen, PM3/4 LAC -> PM3/4 LNS and PM3/PM4 -> Cisco LNS.
