When this first started happening, I called Lucent Tech Support. They =
were very helpful, but suggested that the problem was with the phone =
company. The phone company did a 15-minute test called a "3&24 stress =
test" on a Maccawlik (how do you spell that?) span line from the Central =
Office through a repeater and eventually to the Network Interface Unit =
in our building. They found it 100% error-free. =20
I tried switching the T1 back and forth between the jacks on the PM3 and =
changed cables, too, but nothing resolved the problem. Since then (this =
was in August 1998), I get a Loss of Sync about once a week. I am not =
sure if it disconnects all customers, but I believe it might. =20

Subject: (PM) Errors on CT1?
We get random errors on our lines (shown below) and have been told by
our telco that they are "normal" and "nothing to worry about". They
usually don't accumulate, but I think that if they happen every once in
awhile, that is a problem. Any comments on this would be greatly
appreciated. Here are the errors shown:

I read all of the errors to them, and of course, they say its a natural
occurence... Thanks in advance..
